Overview

PEGOP sought to optimise its volumetric calculation processes for landfill management. HPSOLUTIONS implemented a solution using drones and specialised technical analysis, enabling faster, more accurate data suited to operational support and compliance.

The Challenge

Although it already used drones in its surveys, PEGOP aimed to improve the balance between cost, time, and the quality of the captured data. The objective was to reduce execution time and the delivery of results, while maintaining technical rigour to support asset management.

The Solution

HPSOLUTIONS applied the CALCULATOR solution to calculate volumes in landfills and stockpiled materials. The solution combined drone data capture, volumetric analysis, and structured technical reports with areas, volumes, and cell data.

It met the intended objective. We obtained the area and volume data for the various components of the landfill. Subsequently, we requested the cell data, and it was added to the report. The report was well written to provide to the competent authorities.
